About the project
Mortgage servicing information built around homeowner decisions.
EscrowGuide focuses on what happens after a mortgage is already active: escrow analyses, payment changes, taxes, homeowners insurance, PMI, recasting and servicing transfers. The goal is to explain the moving pieces clearly enough that a homeowner can read a statement, understand the math and know which source to verify next.
What makes the site different
We are not trying to rank for every mortgage topic. The editorial scope stays narrow so calculators, guides and internal links reinforce the same subject area. We prioritize specific questions such as why a fixed-rate mortgage payment increased, whether paying an escrow shortage upfront changes the new payment, and what changed after an annual escrow analysis.
Independence
EscrowGuide is not a mortgage lender, mortgage servicer, insurance agency, real-estate brokerage or law firm. Editorial pages are written to explain rules and calculations rather than to steer readers into a loan application.
Corrections and updates
Mortgage-servicing rules and company procedures can change. Core pages identify the source framework and review date so updates can be checked systematically. When a primary source changes, the relevant guide or calculator should be reviewed before its reviewed date is advanced.
